London used to be my least favorite European city. Too big, too cold, too busy, too expensive.. there was no end to my list of grievances. This trip, however, helped change my perspective. My aversion to Oxford Circus and all its hustle and bustle remains, but I was able to discover a backstreet charm to the city that completely enchanted me. The fine Edwardian & Victorian architecture, beautiful squares, snug breakfast nooks, and dainty French patisseries are few of the reasons that will keep me coming back.
For next time.. I really want to go to the London zoo to see the bears. And to do some more lounging around Hyde Park.
